Chains of Gold

Let me tell you, I love gold jewelry!  My favorite pieces are all gold.  I think it all comes from that my jewelry given to me from my mother growing up was all gold.  I did go through a silver/white gold phase though.  But here I am back to realizing what I love most in my jewelry, the gold.  I would go so far to ask for a gold engagement ring when that time comes.  Not now of course, right BF, right!!


So this past weekend was glorious.  Wait, let me rephrase, this past Sunday was glorious!  I got to hang out with my mom all day which is super great because we are usually so busy we barely have enough time for each other.  But now that I have moved back home and am living with her and her BF, I get to enjoy her company.

So Sunday started off with a walk up our hill.  I am in much need of exercise and am very sore today, but the good sore you know!  And after that we went into Malibu for a few errands.  This turned into us going to JCrew to look at clothing for her.  As much as I love clothes, I have a full closet that needs to be cleaned out before anything new goes in.  And the fact that I just went to the LF sale on thursday and bought over my limit.  Ssshhhh, don't tell anyone.  As we are going through the racks, my mother keeps asking me if I want anything.  As much as I would love a new pair of matchstick jeans, I declined.  Until I say this:

I have been looking for a long gold chain necklace that I can layer with the necklace my BF got me for my birthday.  This is a perfect match.  Not only is it gold, but it is circular.  The one I got differs a bit because it does not have a pendant and the circles are in a wavy fashion.  But I LOVE it and am so thankful to have the best mom in the world.  For her my love of gold would just not be as strong as it is today!
