Books of Memories

So I totally wish I was more of a smushy lovie dovie cutsie photo loving person when it comes to the BF and I.  I totally am not.  In the SEVEN years we have been dating, I have not given him one photo of us.  When we do take photos, it also is rarely of the two of us together.  Due to this, we have many photo booth photos of us somewhere (not framed or hung up).  For a while now, I knew I needed to do my girlfriend duty and get him a photo of us, from me.  So when I went to my friends house, she had just created a photo book of her and her BF on their last vacation.  I thought it was so cute! Even more it looked easy because it was all done through a company that compiles all the images for you!  This would be perfect for me because A. I have no time, B. I am way to busy C. I have no time. (I am in grad school....)

So as I google in photo book, I find shutterfly.  I love that all I have to do is upload my photos, place them, write text and boom its done.

O where O where did I go wrong.  A week later I still had not finished!!  I had about twenty pages to fill with photos and text.  That was not a problem.  What was, the awful organizing of it!! I knew kinda how I wanted to place them, but the program is awful.  It would not let me see all pages together and the photos I wanted to load on the pages.  It just showed me 4 pages at a time.  I could not handle it.  So frustrated for the week, I go to my blog reading for some escapism.  I came across this website pinholepress.com

Pinhole press is AMAZING!!  It is perfect, simple and elegant.  I love all their ideas for stationary, labels, and photo books!  So I found an 8 page fold out photo book.  It is perfect for me.  I just want him to see all the cute photos we took and the memories we shared.  Because it is fold out I am hoping he can keep it standing and open on a table.

         
                                

I made mine from this template.  First, I love green.  I chose four photos of us when you open the book.  The four photos on the back I chose all scenic shots from vacations we have been on, Tulum, Idaho, Kauai and Big Sur.

I hope he likes it.  I am glad I finally completed this job.  Can't wait to hear about the final results!!
